We were contacted by Sheba's owners (whom we purchased Rudy from) shortly  after she was born to see if we would be willing to raise her and of course we said YES! She has been here ever since. We are happy to announce that she will be staying with us a bit longer as we opted to lease her for the 2018 breeding season and at least part of 2019. Our 2019 kidding season started with heartbreak when sweet Sheba aborted ~7 weeks prior to her due date. Despite aborting so early we decided to give a try milking her and were able to get her to come into milk. Unfortunately she appears to have maxed out around 2.6 pounds/day which is still a good achievement considering when we first started milking her we were getting maybe a teaspoon or so per day. Based on what we can see Sheba has matured nicely structurally and has caught up to the other first fresheners and her udder has developed nicely given her circumstance. She has a lovely shaped udder and nice long teats that hopefully mature and we get a more complete picture of her udder in 2020.
